Do you have an older cat that seems to be eating a lot and not gaining weight?
Has it become more talkative, or agitated? Has their coat lost its normal lustre?
If so, your cat may be suffering from hyperthyroidism, a common disease in older cats. It is caused by enlarged thyroid glands overproducing hormones. Usually this is caused by a non-cancerous tumor.
Thankfully this is an easily diagnosed condition, just book your cat in for a consult with your local Anexa Vet, they can take some bloods and run them in our in-house blood machines (available in our main centres). Allowing us to diagnose your pet faster, and plan their treatment, getting them back to their normal happy self!
