Amy Whetu

Kia ora,

I am based in Ngāruawāhia and run a consultancy business with my husband in the areas of environmental policy, research and planning.

I grew up on a farm near Walton which was sheep and beef in my early years and then primarily dairy as it now remains. I love returning with my husband and children to the farm which I still call home. This rural grounding means that I understand the agricultural industry but have had the benefit of gaining experience in other arenas.

I have a varied background which includes legal practice, business and property development. I also hold a Masters in environmental law and governance, and I am currently completing my PhD research in climate change policy and agriculture.

I look forward to working with, and contributing to the Board and Anexa FVC team.
