Peter Le Heron

After graduating from Massey University with an Agricultural Science Degree in 1976, I went share milking on the family farm (30ha) and progressed to farm ownership. Currently I own a 60 ha dairy farm milking 220 cows (contract milker) with support blocks for young stock and maize.

In 2008 I completed an Auckland University Agri Business Ice House course.

20 years LIC AB Technician
24 years Chair of the Tatua Co-operative Dairy Company Remuneration Committee
30 Years Venturer Scout Leader including 10 yrs Scout National Caving School and Abseil Instructor
30 years Scuba Diver (Rescue Diver ticket)

Chair of the WRC Thames Valley Drainage Community Input Committee
Member of the WRC Hauraki Catchment Board
Member of the Rotary Club of Morrinsville (31 yrs)

When I can I am a keen fisherman. I have three adult children (David 36, Simon 35, Kate 31) and 5 grandchildren. Angela, my partner of 8 years is Head Librarian and Archivist at Morrinsville College.
